Abandoned Vehicle Removal
Abandoned or Nuisance Vehicle Removal
Before you spend any time or money, first you should determine if the car is legally considered abandoned. According to Texas transportation code, a car is considered abandoned if it is inoperable, is more than five years old and has been left unattended on public property, has remained illegally on public property, or has remained on private property without the consent of the owner or person in charge of the property. When dealing with abandoned vehicles, it is always a good idea to check with the police department to make sure the vehicle is not stolen. If the car is stolen, the police will take care of the removal of the vehicle.
Some of the other reasons for needing a vehicle removed are
• Expired Registration
• Flat tires
• Mechanically disassembled on the property (attractive nuisance)
• Leaking oil or other hazardous fluids
….and many more!
Do you have an abandoned or nuisance vehicle on your property? As the property owner or manager, you have the legal right to remove a vehicle from your property that has been left without your permission. Vehicles end up on your parking lot for several reasons such as a mechanical breakdown, the result of a wreck, or in some cases an arrest. Many local police departments won’t have a vehicle towed from private property if the owner or operator of the vehicle is arrested. After a few days, these vehicles become an eye sore not to mention taking up valuable parking spaces that could be used by your customers, residents, or employees.
If you need a company to remove it, then give Titan Towing a call. We have the right equipment for the job and drivers with the proper training to get it done quickly. We can educate you on what can and can’t be towed as well as provide the proper signage or notifications before towing the vehicle from the property. All our services for vehicle removal are free of charge to the property owner or manager because we get paid when the vehicle picked up from our facility. We are available 24 hours a day for your convenience.
